Your first visit
If you're a first-time client at Rose and Crown Clinic, you'll need to give us some information about your background, medical history and the nature of your condition. This is so that we can provide the best possible care, tailored to your specific circumstances.
Consultation
During your first consultation with the chiropractor, you'll discuss any health-related issues and concerns. Your chiropractor will explain how chiropractic works and will answer any questions you
may have. They will also give you an idea of the number of treatments you will need and give you after care advice.
History and examination
In order to pinpoint your problem, the Chiropractor will ask you a number of questions related to your condition. A variety of targeted tests will be performed if necessary to determine which tissues
are affected and to what extent.
Same-day treatment
Once the case history is complete the chiropractor will ask you to change and sit on the bench. Gowns are provided for those that wish to wear them. The chiropractor will then palpate down the spine
of the patient to get an idea of tensions and problem areas and they may ask you to perform some simple tests. The chiropractor will then explain what they think is happening and how it can be
treated and then will treat you.
Home instructions
Before leaving, you'll be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be carried out at home. This may include ice or heat applications, avoidance of certain activities or positions and
sometimes stretches and exercises.
Scheduling the next appointment
Regular treatment is essential to the process. We arrange our treatments around your schedule. Generally speaking, patients are seen within a week and are provided with a complete review of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed at this time.
